At Golf Coast Upholstery we specialize in putting new covers on motorcycle seats. Unless you are restoring an antique bike, we strongly recommend using vinyl instead of leather for two reasons. First, the sun fades leather and your seat will not look good for long. Second, vinyl is more resistant to water. If you get caught in the rain the leather and underlying padding will become wet leaving you with soggy jeans.

There are two primary methods for covering a motorcycle seat; staples or rivets. If pan for the seat is steel or fiberglass it will need to have the old rivets drilled out and new ones put in...a labor intensive job. If the pan is plastic we use stainless steel staples to attach the new cover. Stainless staples cost more than regular steel staples, but we are committed to producing quality work that will outlast the competitors.

We re-cover seats for a busy local motorcycle repair shop, Precision Cycle.

A common problem for shorter riders is they can't rest both feet on the ground when stopped. We can trim the foam under the cover making it slightly narrower, which often solves this problem. We also insert gel packs on a seat to provide a more comfortable ride.
